INTERNET CLASS OFFERINGS
At the present time, all courses are offered by private instruction via email. Course begins on the first Monday following payment of tuition (recieved in office) and classes are conducted via private email. Classes are divided into "sessions" or weeks. For example: 2 Sessions = 2 weeks.

HOW MY CLASSES WORK: Each week on Monday, there will be a lecture and an assignment posted to your email. Completing assignments are optional, but recommended. All correspondence will be via email. You may ask as many questions as necessary during the time the course covers and I will respond. I will also give feedback and critique, or make editing suggestions on any assignments submitted to me (via email only -- no attachments).

I have been teaching my most popular creative writing classes online since 2000 and also in person at a SE Texas college since 2004. A great portion of my students have continued on to publish their short works and novels.

Introduction To Writing The Novel 6 Sessions (6 weeks) $45 USD Check or Money Order Beginner to Intermediate Level
Whether you've already written a novel or wish to infuse new life into an old project, this class is for you. Instructor will work closely with student and offer personal critiques and guidance. Lecture topic include novel form, chapters, story structure, characterization and conflict, to name a few. All assignments will pertain to the individual's work.
NOVEL WRITING II 6 Sessions (6 weeks) $45 USD Check or Money Order *** Prerequisite, Introduction To Writing The Novel.
Students will build upon skills and knowledge obtained in the first class and write or revise up to three hundred pages of their work. Plot, subplot, story layers, setting, theme, working with agents, editors and independent publishing will be addressed.
HOW TO WRITE AND SELL SHORT FICTION: A Fiction Writing Workshop
Explore the craft of writing short fiction through a series of online lectures, writing assignments and individual guidance from instructor. Topics covered include story structure, character development, scene writing, conflict, point of view, and marketing. Good for beginners or anyone who needs a refresher on the basics of fiction writing.
